What is a Leisure Card?

Option 1:  Non-Derby residents will receive 10% discount on casual activities (not swim lessons or memberships), by purchasing a Non-Resident Everyone Active Leisure Card.
 

Option 2: Derby residents will receive 20% discount on casual activities (not swim lessons or memberships), by purchasing a resident Everyone Active Leisure Card.
Council Tax letter required as proof, or if you are not the bill payer a letter for an official recognised company or utilities statement with your name showing the same address as the Council Tax letter will be needed.
 

Option 3: Concessionary members will receive 40% discount on casual activities (not swim lessons or Memberships), by purchasing a Everyone Active Leisure Card.
Concessionary rates will be available for people aged over 65 years, registered disabled, unemployed and fulltime students.
 

Option 4: Family Leisure Card is available for up to two adults, and three children to a maximum of five people. Depending on whether the applicants are Derby resident or not, the family card will offer either a 20% or 10% discount.
 

Option 5: The Everyone Active Leisure Card is available to Derby City residents who are:

  • Over 18 on income-based income support, jobseekers allowance or Employment Support Allowance (ESA)
  • An unemployed school leaver between 16 and 18 years old
  • In receipt of Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or Carer Allowance
  • Volunteers through the European volunteer services
  • Unemployed asylum seekers
  • Derby City Council Foster Carers
  • Receiving Guaranteed Pensions Credit

 

Everyone Active Leisure Card Rates for April 2022 to March 2023
 

Standard Leisure Card -  £6.00 (renewable every twelve months)

Concessionary Leisure Card - £3.00 (renewable every twelve months)

Family Leisure Card (up to 2 adults and 3 children) - £12.00

Recreation to Passport to Leisure - £1.50 (renewable every 6 months)

Replacement Everyone Active card -  £1.50

How long will I get in the pool?

Customers are offered a different coloured band to indicate the start time of your 1.5-hour pool session.

You can enter reception 10 minutes before your booked session start time. Admissions are processed in 15-minute intervals. We therefore recommend you arrive 15 minutes before your booking in order to maximise your time in the pool.

At the end of your session your coloured wrist band will be announced over our tannoy system. 

 

Can I go on the Atlantis Adventure Pool Inflatable?

Access to the Atlantis Inflatable is for aged 5 years old upwards, and all participants under the age of 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years old.  All participants must wear buoyancy aids when using the inflatable, which will be provided. Smaller over 5’s may not fit properly into the smallest buoyancy aid and will not be able to use the Atlantis if this is the case.

Can my child ride the waterslides?

RESTRICTIONS OF USE ON THE GIANT WATERSLIDES:

Aqua Tube (Fast Slide):

  • feet first
  • one rider at a time
  • Must be at least 1.2m tall to ride

Body Slide (Family Slide)

  • feet first
  • one rider at a time
  • Must be at least 1.2m tall to ride

Wave rider

  • Raft Slide
  • Single and double rafts available
  • All riders must be 1.2m tall (or over)

What age can children swim unaccompanied?

Children under the age of eight must be accompanied in the water by their parent or responsible adult aged 18 or over with at least one responsible adult for every two children.

How deep is the pool?

The pool in the water park starts at 0.2m in the beach area and is 1.35m at the deepest part of the Wow Ball tank. There are no sudden depth changes within the water park pool.

Do I need to book children under 5years old as they are free?

Yes, all swimmers must be booked even children under 5yrs that are free.

Step 5 - Review tickets that have been added to your basket and if your happy with the selection, please press Checkout

Step 6 - Add personal details/email for one off purchase or create an account when booking a Flexi ticket. Agree to T&Cs

Step 7 - Select payment

 

Receive order confirmation email and confirmation of booking terms and conditions. Present Booking code at main reception upon arrival.

Can I use my Everyone Active Membership?

No, Moorways Water Park is not included in any of our memberships and is to be purchased separately.

Can I purchase a ticket from main reception?

No admissions are available at main reception for Moorways Water Park – please note we do have booking pods available in-centre however we advise all customers to book ahead to ensure availability.

How long before should I arrive?

We recommend arriving a minimum of 15 mins prior to your booked session to allow time to park and gain access to the centre. 

(During peak times and events, the car park will be busier than normal so please additional allow time to park)

Do I need to pay for car parking?

Please arrive with sufficient time to allow for parking and access to the site. Car parking is available on site for a maximum of three hours for free for centre users and is subject to availability. Please allow extra time for arriving at the centre during school holidays and peak periods.

Can I get a refund if I’m running late or my child or member of my family are sick?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds or transfers of any tickets purchased.

If you created an account at the time you paid for your tickets, this will allow you to amend your booking date and time up to 24 hours before your session. Simply login to your account and make the necessary amendments. A small fee will be charged when moving any bookings on a per person basis.

Do I need to print my ticket?

Tickets purchased online will be issued with an 8 digit booking reference, as long as this is given to the fast track reception or the ticket is shown on your mobile this will allow us to locate your booking.
